Piedmont Farm had a successful 2 acre market garden for 10 years supplying vegetables, flowers and soft fruit to the local communities of Telegraph Creek and Dease Lake.
The hay meadow continues to produce quality hay from a 12 acre field.
There are 3 fenced pastures and 2 barns plus a shelter for horses in the large pasture.
The hay barn is large enough to double as wood and equipment storage.
The livestock barn is very nicely set up with a fully enclosed chicken coop as well as having been used as a dairy barn for goats. Concrete floors and year round water in the barn allow for easy cleaning and watering stock. This barn also has hay storage above it and will store enough hay for 5 or 6 goats for a year.
The farm produces about 300 to 400 bales/year depending on weather. This is enough hay for several horses and a number of goats or 1 cow.
We also raised rabbits and there are several rabbit cages on the farm.
The livestock barn has power to it for lights and heat lamp for the chicken coop.
The fencing is either smooth wire which is electrified or page wire and all the posts are pressure treated to last for years to come.
